Our beloved mother, Elida, passed away at home with her loving family and friends by her side, on Wednesday May 15th, in Gilroy, California. Elida was born in Weslaco, Texas on October 22, 1926 to Francisco Saucedo and Trinidad T. Saucedo. She was the last of twelve siblings. She is proceeded in death by her parents, siblings and loving husband Esequiel Salazar. She is survived by her three daughters and son; Esma Arballo (Anthony), Eirasema Weaver (Marc), Erika Salazar, and son, Esequiel Salazar; her grandchildren Shawna Weaver, Seth Weaver, Matthew Ayala, Elias Gude-Salazar. Angelica Gude-Salazar and Esequiel Salazar, Jr.; and many nieces and nephews. She also had many great, great-great, great-great-great nieces and nephews. She was a feisty, caring, loving and humorous woman who had many friends. She enjoyed caring and cooking for her husband, children, and all family members, especially baking her "campo de bread". Elida retired from Gilroy Foods after twenty-five years working. She was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church. She will be dearly missed and live in our hearts forever.
