Duane Mayberry died peacefully on September 20, 2016 with his loving wife Edna at his side.

Duane was born 86 years ago in Decatur, Nebraska to Bert and Charlotte. Duane had one younger brother Lyle.
Duane came to Gilroy as a young boy with his family and attended local schools and graduated from Gilroy High school.
In 1950 he joined the Navy with lifelong friend Pete Giminez and his brother Lyle.

Duane worked for PG&E, as a linemen, for 30 years. He owned and operated several service stations with his father Bert.
After retiring from PG&E, Duane enjoyed woodworking, gardening and travelling with Edna in their RV.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Edna Mayberry. Children: Ronald (Joviann) Mayberry and Laurie (Paul) Salaiz. Stepchildren Joy (Stan) Levenduski, Sarah (Larry) Smith, David Rutz, Craig Rutz. Grandchildren: Michelle Joaquin, Amanda Watters, Samantha Taylor, Garrett Mayberry, Alicia Mackey, Paulette Salaiz, Westley Levenduski, Ashley Levenduski, Hunter Smith, Harrison Smith. And seven great grandchildren.

A Celebration of life will be held 11:00am, Saturday, October 1, 2016 at the Gilroy Grange Hall 8191 Swanston Ln, Gilroy, CA.
