Douglas Allen Williams was born on Thursday, August 22nd, 1991 at 3:46 am in Gilroy, CA. Which also happened to be his grandma and grandpas wedding anniversary… so they shared that special day.
Dougy is the son of Lorraine Marquez and Ron Wallace, biological son of Kevin Williams. Doug is survived by his grandparents, Bennie and Esther Baltazar of Morgan Hill, Al and Barb Williams of Gilroy, Diane Holdaway, born in Salinas, and Jesus Marquez living in Las Vegas, and of course his siblings from other mothers AKA The Christmas Hill Gang. If I had to name each and every one of you who has been touched by Dougs love, we'd be here until tomorrow. Thank you, EACH and EVERY one of you, for helping, sharing, and reaching out to each other in this time of tragedy. We will always remember Doug with love, so pay it forward, keep the love going… Dougy hugs RULE!!! As many of you know, Doug has a rather large family, (that may be my fault) And if I could name each of the cousins, Aunts, Uncles, Second Cousins, married-ins, and "adopted" siblings, we'd be here until Saturday!! Thank You to our Out of state friends that may not have been able to make it, or could make it, and those who have reached out to us from Oregon, Washington, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, New York, Pennysylvania, Minnesota, from California, theres Lompoc, Madera, Stockton, Salinas, Fresno, Los Banos, Hollister, San Jose, Los Angeles, Monterey Park, Encino, Whittier, Morgan Hill, Gilroy, Bakersfield, and the list goes on… OR we could be here until Tuesday, remembering all of the adventures Doug has conquered… Swimming, Snow and Water skiing, wake boarding, skateboarding, dirt biking, Driving the boat, pulling G's in the aerobatic planes with Dad, Mom and Doug got "baptized" after their first hot air balloon ride, and we hung out with one of the most prolific Balloonists in the world., Kenny O'Connor. Going on every single ride in Las Vegas for his birthday, when he got tall enough to reach the darn line… he loved adventure. He's been to Reno, Tahoe, Oregon, Colorado on the train, camping, and Burning Man… and the list goes on… By the way, he got comically upset with me for going to Burning Man BEFORE he did, and I explained that its a mothers job to make sure the things their kids participate in are safe... Ya, he dint buy it.
We just wanted to show Doug that there was more to this world than Gilroy..
Dougy is loved. and will always be remembered. As a gentleman and a truly kind soul. He will be greatly, heartbreakingly, lovingly, forever, missed.
Your support during this time has just reinforced the knowledge that our young man turned out to be a wonderful spirit who was taken too young, and the willingness and kindness and generosity of people who didn't know Doug personally has been amazing and so truly appreciated. Every wonderful gesture made on behalf of Doug is a blessing. And the only thing I could ever hope for was that when Doug left our front door, that he treated people with kindness and respect for his fellow humans. He never let us down.
Thank you, to those who have taken the initiative to coordinate all of the events since Dougs passing, please take care in your revelry. We all know know that Doug would want every one to be safe, watch out for each other, and he definitely would NOT want to be responsible for another tragedy. From the bottom of our hearts. Your generosity has eased many burdens, and your participation will make this a Celebration of Life Never to be forgotten.
On behalf of our entire family, we thank you.
