Dorothy Vernona Freeman (Dotty)

December 31, 1933 - July 20, 2017

Passed peacefully from complications of Alzheimer's Disease on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at Hillview Skilled Nursing Facility at the age of 83.

She was born in Livermore, California to John and Asta Regan.

Dotty was preceded in death by her parents and loving husband Eulan Bobby Freeman and Daughter In-Law Alice Freeman.

After her graduation from Livermore High School, Dotty met and married Bob, who was stationed in Livermore as a member of the United States Air Force during the Korean War. After Bob was discharged, they eventually made their way to the Bay Area where they made their home of 45 years in Sunnyvale, California. There they raised their four children.  Dotty was a career Homemaker and devoted wife.

She loved to play the piano, sing, dance and garden.  She would walk everyday, and take part in the lives of her children driving them to various sports activities and enjoyed being a "Mom".  She loved children, often babysitting for her many Nieces, Nephews and Friends children.  She enjoyed her large family and circle of friends. Dotty enjoyed traveling with Bob and the kids, and in their retirement they had the opportunity to visit sights throughout the United States.  After Bob's passing, Dotty made her home in the Bay Area, first in Gilroy and finally to Morgan Hill.

Dotty is survived by her four children;  James, David, Debra and wife Karen, Jeffrey and wife Shanny.  Grandchildren: Megan, Brandon, Heather and Kim.  Great grandchildren: Andrew, Kelly, Brittany, Bradley, Jagger, Jessen, Kayla and Jonnie. She is also survived by Sisters Mary Just, Peggy Cassingham and Brother Joe Regan and wife Shirley, as well as multiple nieces and nephews.

Special Thanks to the staff at Hillview Skilled Nursing Facility in Morgan Hill. The dedication and compassion they demonstrated during Mom's care was incredible!  Also, thank you to Seasons Hospice, the Nurses and staff are truly Angels!!

A private burial service will be held at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery, July 31, 2017.

A Celebration of Life will be held September 3, 2017 at  2:00 p.m. 13085 Uvas Road Morgan Hill, California 95037.  In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations in Dotty's name to Hillview Skilled Nursing Facility, 530 West Dunne Ave Morgan Hill, California 95037-4823.
