Born in St. Catherine's, Ontario, Canada to Herbert and Mildred Avery, she had 4 siblings. Doris lived in Buffalo, New York with her husband Stephen until moving to Gilroy, California in 1972. After her husband's death she married Ray Boone who died in 1994.
She is survived by her dear friend and close companion whom she loved to fly with, Vernon Epperly of Hollister, son Stephen, (Linda) of Gilroy and son David, (Pat) of Kenmore, NY. Grandchildren Traci Reimann (Gene) of Reno, NV and Matthew Hussar (Lisa) of Truckee, CA, Janet Phillips (Donald) of Wheatfield, NY and David Hussar (Kellie) of Kenmore, NY. Great grandchildren, Stephen Hussar, Shannon Wallace, and Rachael Reimann, Ryan and Stephen Hussar, Zachary and Brianna Phillips, and great great grandchild, Ocean Zane Hussar.
Private services will be held at a future date for the family.
