January 17, 1936 – December 15, 2020
Donald Wilbur Silacci, a lifelong resident of Gilroy, passed away the 15 th of December unexpectedly.
He grew up on his family's ranch where they raised dairy cattle and grew row crops along with hay. He raised cattle for 4-H and FFA projects where he earned his American Farmer degree.
Donald found his soul mate and partner for life, when he married Carol Milias Silacci of Gilroy, CA in 1959. Together they owned and operated a commercial cattle ranch along with the family feed store. (The Feed Barn) He was always active in multiple organizations such as the California's Cattlemen's Association, Santa Clara County Fairboard, Sportsmen Chef, Ducks Unlimited, Elks, San Martin Horsemen's Association, and more. He held offices for many during his active years.
He enjoyed gardening, fishing, and hunting every chance he could get. Donald always loved being outside, was full of energy, and could always put a smile on anyone's face.
Donald is preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Carol Milias Silacci; Parents, Wilbur and Evelyn "Curly" Silacci; Brother in law, Larry Balentine.
Donald is survived by sister, Barbara Balentine; Children, Donna Silacci and Christine Bianchi (Robert); Grandchildren, Andrea Silacci Tidwell (Jacob) and Erica Bianchi.
Donald will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
Due to current Covid-19 restrictions, a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
