Don Chesbro, Jr. died peacefully at his home in Gilroy, CA, at the age of 87, surrounded by family. Born to Donald Sr. and Rachel (Morgan) Chesbro, in Gilroy, CA, Don was Gilroy's Bail Bondsman for over 35 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, wood cutting, farming and duck hunting. As a child, Don loved spending summers at his Grandparents home in The Dalles, Oregon. Don also served in the Merchant Marines and was then drafted and served in the Marine Corp.


Don is survived by his wife Lorna, son Jon Nold (Andrea), Granddaughter Mandy Nold-Guerrero, Great-grandchildren Joey and Caitlin Guerrero as well as Lorna's children, Clay Hull and Keri Simms, their children and grandchildren.

Predeceased by his son Donald Chesbro, III, Grandson Chris Nold, and his parents.

Services will be held Saturday December 20, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Habing Family Funeral Home, 129 4th Street, Gilroy, California. The family requests that you wear your best camouflage clothing to the service. Private inurnment at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, contributions are preferred to Ducks Unlimited or Suncrest Hospice, c/o Habing's.
