Dolores "Lola" Hernandez, 88, of Gilroy, passed peacefully, surrounded by family, on September 30,2010, in Carlsbad, NM.
Born on May 18,1922, in Ft. Davis, TX, to Miguel and Maria Martinez. She married Emique S. Hernandez in 1939 and relocated to Carlsbad, NM, until 1957 when the family moved to Gilroy, CA.
She was a homemaker who loved to sew, crochet, cook, garden and play the piano. Most of all she loved spending time with family and friends. Dolores "Lola" will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She in preceded in death by her husband and her parents, and survived by her children; Rudy Hernandez (Patricia) of Challis, ID, Ernie Hernandez (Grace) of Las Vegas, NV, Alice Fierro (Fidel) of Carlsbad, NM, Henry Hernandez of Carlsbad, NM, and Sara Amstutz (Jeff) of Gilroy, CA. Grandmother of Rudy, Ramon, Julie, Ernie, Lee, Erika, Gabriel, Marc, Tammy, Ernie, Amanda, Stephanie And 8 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by brother Donny Martinez (Rita), Sisters Jovita (Susie) Jimenez, Chris Riggs (Gene), And Mary Lou Perez (Ralph), all of Carlsbad, NM.

Funeral Services Friday, October 8, 2010 – 10:00 AM at Habing Family Funeral Home, Gilroy.

Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Gilroy.
