Dionicio S. Perez (92) passed away on November 21,2020. He was born in Southerland, Nebraska and moved to California as a child with his family. Dionicio is a veteran of the Korean War of the 1st Regiment 24th Infantry Division, achieving the rank of Sergeant. After returning from the Korean War, Dionicio met and married the love of his life, Maria Elena Saucedo Perez. Together, they settled down in San Juan Bautista, California and eventually moved to Gilroy, California in 1963 with their three children.

Dionicio was a family man in every aspect. He loved and cherished his ever-growing family. He was known for his charismatic nature, wisdom and generous heart. His kindness touched everyone he encountered and his infectious laughter would bring a smile to all of his family and friends. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time outdoors, watching his favorite shows and spending time with his family. Dionicio was a pillar of strength for his family and will be deeply missed by all of his loved ones.

He is survived by his wife, Maria Elena Saucedo Perez, his children Martha Perez Rios, Enedina Perez Beevers, Jaime Perez, grandchildren, Daryl Hudson, Monica Aguillon, Leslie Vega, Steven Beevers Jr.,Tara Forstner, Amanda Perez, Robert Perez, Marisa Rios and Alexa Hudson along with many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his grandson, Nathan Beevers.

He will be laid to rest at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery.
