Diane Carol Dawson passed away peacefully at her home in Morgan Hill, California on March 15, 2017.

Diane was born on April 5, 1939 in Monterey, California. On October 3, 1959 she married William Dawson in Salinas, California. Together they had two children, Stephanie and Allison. They often found themselves on the move, as Bill was in the military. They even lived in Alaska for a period of time.

Diane was a lover of musical theater, country music, Jeopardy, taking road trips and correct grammar.

Diane is survived by her children Stephanie Hancock and Alison Hanvey, her grandchildren Kristy Thompson, Jaime Wancewicz and William Hanvey and her great grandchild Caden Thompson.

A memorial will be held on Thursday, March 23 at 2 PM at Habing Family Funeral Home.

Private inurnment will be at San Joaquin National Cemetery where she will be placed with her late husband William A. Dawson.

The family has designated a Rose Fund in Diane's honor with the National Foundation for Cancer Research for memorial contributions.
