The night of February 6th, 2026 our beloved Diana Nunez was welcomed home by our Lord, encircled by family. She was the eldest of 11 children born on June 9th, 1959 in Lubbock, Texas to Tomas Lopez Nunez and Maria Isabel Romero.
Diana was an extremely beautiful woman inside and out. She was a devoted woman of God that cared deeply for her family and close friends. God really took his time when he created her. She had a kind heart and a great sense of humor. She loved activities like cooking and listening to music. Anyone who knew her, knew she was a social butterfly and loved to laugh, almost as much as she loved a good sale. She loved to talk and have long conversations with anyone who took the time to listen and it was always a delightful moment to sit and talk with her. She is loved and cherished by everyone who had the opportunity to experience her. Her generosity, kindness, resilience, and unconditional love will always be remembered through each person who had the privilege of knowing her. The stories she shared of her life experiences, her laugh when jokes were shared and her encapsulating smile will forever live on.
She is survived by her husband Enedino T. Zabala, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, mom, siblings, and many nieces and nephews.
