Obituary

Dennis Gordon Tachick, age 73, passed away unexpectedly on September 23, 2017 in Palo Alto, CA.  Dennis is survived by his wife Bonnie (Heward) and their three children Kelli & Larry Beaman of Scotts Valley, Heather Tachick of Boston, Seth & Jacqui (Delgado) of Reno, Nevada.  He also is survived by five grandchildren; Madelyn, Amelia, Larson, Abigail, Rachel, eleven nieces and nephews, and sister Carol Mowbray of San Francisco.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Dennis and Audrey Tachick.

In his earlier years, Dennis lived in Michigan and Illinois. He graduated from high school in Paxton, Illinois in 1964 before attending Michigan Technological University.   Dennis met his wife Bonnie on a blind date at Michigan Tech University in June 1965. Bonnie was from Rogers City, Michigan. That date led to them being married one year later in 1966.

Dennis earned his Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from Michigan Tech

University in 1967.  He also earned a MS in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern University in Boston in the 1970s. He resided in Billerica, Massachusetts for 19 years before moving to California.  He lived in Morgan Hill, CA for 35 years with his wife of 51 years and his 3 children.

Dennis was a man of high ethics along with strong principles of honesty, trust, and loyalty. He carried these values throughout all aspects of both his professional and personal life. He was also a man of faith who loved the Lord, his family, and church. Dennis loved to sit out in his front yard under the Japanese Maple tree enjoying his time with his wife, family, and the dogs. In his earlier days, he enjoyed visiting antique and old book stores where he would get great joy reading and building up a collection of old books that gave him and Bonnie much pleasure to discuss.  He also loved to watch football and baseball.  His favorite teams were the New England Patriots and the Boston Red Sox.  Of course, Tom Brady was his favorite player on the Patriots football team.

We already miss him so much, but we take great comfort in knowing that God loves him so much and without any doubt, we know that he resides in Heaven with his Lord.  We are called to go on without him in this earthly life but look forward to spending an eternity with him in Heaven.
