May 4, 1936 – February 28, 2017
David was born on May 4, 1936 to Wayne and LaRene Stout in Springfield, Missouri. He passed away on February 28, 2017 at his home in Fremont, California.
David was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred, who passed away June 6, 2013. He is survived by his four sons, Michael (Donna), Matthew (Michelle), Daniel (Aleisha) and Benjamin (Laura), 20 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers Owen and Monte Stout and is survived by his sister Maxine Barney and brothers Vaughn and Richard Stout.
David married Mildred Hildegard Barth on September 11, 1958 in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. They fell in love as teenagers and married soon after he returned from serving in the Northern States Mission for the LDS church. David graduated with his Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Utah in 1963 and earned a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering in 1967.
David worked in the Aerospace industry at several different companies in California, Utah and Colorado. Equipment he designed during his career is still orbiting the earth and is on the moon and Mars.
David was a devoted husband and a good example of what a father should be to his four sons. He enjoyed being with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
David was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He served faithfully in many callings as he served his fellow members of the church.
A funeral to honor his life will be held at the Walnut Avenue LDS chapel in Fremont, California, Saturday March 11, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. A viewing will be held in the Relief Society room at 9:00 a.m.
