David Samuel Rodriguez, 78, passed away at home on Wednesday March 10, 2021 in Gilroy, Ca.

Dave was born in Pacific Grove October 20, 1942 to Clarice Rose and Joseph Benossi.  He is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, his love Gloria Rodriguez. He is the Son-in-law to Thomas and the late Arlene Lujan. His loving children David Rodriguez, Karen and Marc Vago, Anna and Jasper Del Real. Grandchildren Justin and Cynthia Sabla, Jeremy Sabla, Evelyn Vago, Jasper Del Real, Adam and Erica Guajardo and Cynthia Del Real Rodriguez. Along with 4 great grandchildren. Jase Sabla, Savannah Sabla, Sofia Sabla and Jaxson Guajardo.

For part of his life served in the US Navy. He had a career with the City of San Jose and the Santa Clara County Water District before he retired. He was a member of Gilroy American Legion and the Post 6309.

He was loved dearly and had so much love for his family. He was our world. He was always there with a helping hand and gave helpful advice. Always being there for all of our major and minor live moments. A mentor to us all. His favorite pastime was playing cards and board games with us. He enjoyed teaching us how to play. He also enjoyed reading and learning. Having a vast knowledge beyond ours.
