IN LOVING MEMORY OF
David Carranza
Plaza
May 1, 1937 – January 15, 2022
David Carranza Plaza, age 84 has departed from our life into another that awaits him. David's childhood and birth was in Villa Jimenez Michoacan Mexico, born on Saturday May 1, 1937 to Jesus Plaza and Macaria Carranza de Plaza. It was there that David was an Altar boy, assisting the Priest with mass and delighted in ringing the church bells early Sunday Mornings. David was a fearless noble young man, embracing the competitive feats of his siblings as his own. His father, the local butcher, and his mother, a great cook and mother of 10, faced hardships of life that cultivated the entrepreneurial spirit of the bakery profession. Operating a bakery business in Sinaloa Jalisco Mexico at an early age, it would set a foundation as being head baker at Gilroy Bakery on Monterey Street in 1960-70's. Eventually David would work and retire as a seasoned 30 plus years Teamsters worker at Gentry's Gilroy Foods/ ConAgra. Throughout David's life, he was spontaneous and supportive, not only to nephews and nieces, yet to anyone who asked. A devout Catholic, Christian and mastering the violin with passion and devotion. Upon his retirement in Indiana for 20 years he lived out his years until age 84 . Confronting death, his earthly departure he cheerfully raised his hands to heaven, taking his last breath triumphantly fearlessly pointing to the celestial body of reception that awaited him. He looked forward to that day he would depart and thus we are thankful to God for sharing such a special unique man that never wavered from being gracious and spontaneous. His attitude and life symbolized that we can slay the giant fears of life , the struggles as our dear uncle David Carranza Plaza, the man with the name of the King.
David plaza is survived by his sibling Ruben C Plaza of Gilroy, his nephews David, Ruben Jr, Henry, Carlos, Larry, Paul, George Pedro Jr, Eduardo, Joshua (nephews) all Plaza, nieces Veronica Gutierrez, Veronica Plaza, Alva Plaza- Rodriguez. Including Eddie, Joe, Richard and Marina Mata-Garcia.
