Darlene passed away peacefully at Santa Clara Kaiser Hospital after a 3 ½ year battle with Ovarian Cancer on Thursday, October 16, 2014. She was predeceased by her parents George and Esther Krupczak. She is survived by her husband and best friend of 24 ½ years, Bryan Friend; Daughters Angel Friend of Fresno, and Jessica Ford of Modesto; Grandchildren, John Rebaudo, Fayth & James Ford Jr., Future Grandchildren Olivia Prado & Amara Prado due to arrive in December 2014. Her sister; Tina Barcelone, Brothers, Michael Krupczak, Scott Krupczak, Mark Krupczak, Niece; Jennifer Wood, Nephew; David Krupczak from Gilroy and her Aunt; Beverly Stover from Connecticut.

Darlene began working at Wheeler Hospital at the age of 18 and was working at Saint Louise Reginal Hospital until her passing. Most of her working life was spent there, about 30 years in total.

Darlene was Born in Norwich CT. and moved to Morgan Hill as a child, graduated from Live Oak High School in 1975. Married on June 24, 1990 to Bryan Friend and lived in Hollister, CA.

She believed very much in "Angels" and we believe she now has gone to become one, to watch over all of us.

Funeral Services Friday, October 24, 2014 - 11:00 AM at Habing Family Funeral Home.

Burial will follow at Gavilan Hills Memorial Park, 1000 First Street, Gilroy, CA.
