Daniel R. Lemos, Jr. died Wednesday in Modesto at the age of 89. Born and raised in Gilroy. Recently a resident of Oakdale. Dan retired in 1992 after many years of employment at Trans Valley Transport as a dispatcher. Dan is survived by his daughters Loretta (Donny) Lemos of Oakdale, CA, Nancy (John) Sheedy of Sparks, NV, Sandy (John) Singleton of Gilroy. Sons Daniel Lemos of Los Banos, CA and Tim Lemos of Gilroy. Also survived by eighteen grandchildren, many great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, sister Maryann Silva of San Jose and Brothers Tony Lemos of Hollister and James Lemos of Waterford.
He was preceded in death by his wife Evangeline "Toddy" Lemos, son Ricky Lemos, his parents Daniel and Mary C Lemos. Brother Edward Lemos, sisters Alice Avila and Adeline Del Lemos.
Visitation Monday, May 11, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Habing Family Funeral Home.
Funeral Services Tuesday, May 12, 2015 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Gilroy.
