Daniel Paul Hanten, born on December 28, 1949 in Camp Belvoir, Virginia, passed away at his home in Gilroy, Ca on September 26, 2012 of natural causes.

Daniel is survived by his daughters, Erin Hanten of Gilroy and Kimberly Wilson of Hollister, his sister Rosemary Hanten of Reno, NV, and his grandchildren, Destiny Martinez and Noah Jacksich. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eileen Hanten, his parents, Amelia and Frank Hanten, and his brothers, William and David Hanten.

Daniel's profession was in precision sheet metal and manufacturing. He was raised in San Pedro, Ca and lived in Southern California before relocating to Gilroy in the 80s.

He enjoyed sports, especially football on Sundays and played many sports through out his life. Daniel was very family oriented and loved to spend time with his loved ones. He was very proud of his daughters and his grandchildren. He had many friends that he respected through out his life, where ever he lived.

Danny was loved dearly by his family and friends and will be truly missed.

There will be a celebration of Daniel's life and a memorial service at 8282 Murray Ave Gilroy, Ca in the recreation hall on Saturday, October 20, 2012 starting at Noon.
