Longtime Gilroy resident, Connie Perez Velasco peacefully passed away on Sunday, September 1st, 2019. She was 81 years old. Connie was born on February 19, 1938, in Alpine, Texas.

Connie was a beloved sister, aunt, mother, and grandmother. She is preceded in death by 2 of her children and is survived by her children Paul Rivas, Augustine Rivas, Sally Rivas, Rosie Velasco, and Daniel Velasco. She leaves behind 15 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Connie will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Vigil Service will be at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at Habing Family Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary Catholic Church 10:00 am, Thursday, September 12, 2019. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery.
