On February 6th, 2021, Christine Duenas passed away at the age of 66. Christine was born in Gilroy, CA. Raised with her 3 brothers and 5 sisters off of Hecker Pass. Christine was the mother of Mark (Vanessa) Ashford and the grandmother of Ashley (Ashford) (Myranda)Sotelo, Miranda Ashford, Alexia Ashford and Heather Ashford. Sister to Manual (Marian) Martinez, Mary (Tom) Davis, Olga Martinez, Bertha (Steve) Cordova, Betty Martinez, Mark (Tina) Martinez. In addition to many nephews, nieces and great nephews and nieces. In her later years many considered her as their own grandmother or "Hema". Christine was preceded in death by her husband Martin Duenas, her parents Merced and Lucielle Martinez, and her two siblings Jimmy Martinez and Caroline "Carol" (Martinez) Madera. Generous and supportive, and always a caregiver, Christine would always be the first in line to extend her help for those in need. Her acts of kindness are evident by the mourning of all those she touched. Christine enjoyed listening to music, dancing and being around her family. Her hobbies included going shopping, getting her hair and nails done, and playing card games. It brings us comfort knowing she is reunited with her husband and loved ones who passed, as well as our Lord. Christine will always be loved and remembered by all.
