It is with a heavy heart that I must announce the sudden passing of my brother Charlie Speight, Jr. on January 25, 2023. He will always be remembered by his family and friends for his love of driving his semi-truck across the country. Charlie was born in Gilroy, California. He graduated from Gilroy High in 1989 and followed his dreams of becoming a truck driver. He owned and operated his semi-truck for over 20 plus years. He traveled the highways seeing the countryside and along the way meeting other fellow truck drivers. My brother had a big heart and those that knew him will never forget his kind soul.
Charlie is survived by his father, Charles Speight, mother Jodi Canali-Ornellas, stepfather Robert Ornellas, sister Deanna Franklin, (husband) David Franklin, sister Lisa Canali, (partner) Billy Richmond, his nephews, Justin Franklin and Wyatt Franklin, his aunt Jeannie, and uncle Richard Coefield.
We will miss him. May he rest in peace traveling the highway of heaven.
