Cecilia D. Gutierrez, born in Phoenix, AZ, November 22, 1936.
Passed on March 13th, 2012, at age 75. Loving wife of Tim Gutierrez for 55 years, beloved mother of Debbie Bateh (Bob), Robert Gutierrez (Ethel), Timothy Gutierrez (Kimberly), Mary Maguire (John), Julie Olivier (Dennis) and Clara Lozon (Ron), adored grandmother of 16 and great grandmother of 3. Survived by sister Theresa Pitre and brother Ray Mesa.

She grew up in Los Gatos, CA. Attending grammar school at what is now known as Olde Towne Los Gatos and graduating from Los Gatos High School, class of 55. As a newlywed Army wife, living in Poulsbo, Washington, she dreamed of having a big family so she would never be alone. That wish was granted through the daily companionship of her devoted husband and the arrival of 6 children who loved and admired her, along with their children, many extended family and friends.

To know her was to love her. Everyone that came to her home was welcomed with open arms and a warm meal. She enjoyed swing dancing with her husband, weekend trips, cooking, entertaining and always being surrounded by her family and friends. Many gravitated to her because of her natural ability to reach out to people and offer words of advise and wisdom. Her passing leaves a void in the hearts of her family and too many friends to count.

Visitation Monday, March 19th, 2012, at 2:00 P.M. and Vigil Service at 7:00 P.M. at Habing Family Funeral Home, 129 Fourth St., Gilroy, CA. Funeral Mass, Tuesday, March 20th, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Catherine's, 17400 Peak Avenue, Morgan Hill, CA followed by Burial at Los Gatos Memorial Park, 2255 Los Gatos-Almaden Road, San Jose, CA.
