Catherine Ann Franklin-Seapy passed away after a short battle with cancer on September 19th at age 87, in her home in Scotts Valley, with her son by her side.
Cathy was born April 14, 1929 in Brentwood, CA to Lena Adeline Crawford and Francis Mott Crawford. She attended college at University of Pacific where she earned her teaching credential. She went on to teach in Carmel, Morgan Hill and Gilroy. She spent most of her life living in Gilroy, helping to run the Franklin Ranch.
She was active in her community through the PEO, Red Hats and Order of the Eastern Star. She loved to play golf and Mexican Train with her lady friends. She was an avid reader and was always smiling.
She is survived by her brother Francis Crawford, sister Dorothy Scholar, Son Douglas and his wife Leslie, her granddaughters Kaitlin and Madeleine, Nieces Marcy, Cheryl and Jane, as well as numerous cousins.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, husbands Bob Franklin, Donald Seapy and son James Franklin.
There will be a celebration of life on Saturday, October 1, 2016 starting at 11 am at the Franklin Ranch located at 170 Rucker Ave, Gilroy.
