Carmen R. Perez, 74 has returned to her heavenly home on May 17 ^th , 2020. Her devotion to her family, friends and her firm belief in God supported her in her struggle and ultimately gave her peace.

Carmen was born to the late Julian and Santiaga Rodriguez in La Feria, Texas on June 18 ^th , 1945. She joined her late twin brother Tony Rodriguez, he passed in February 2020.

Carmen moved from Texas to Gilroy in the 1960s and she was a very hard-working, kindhearted woman. Her family helped pick many crops for a living all over the United States in her younger days. In Gilroy, she worked for Gentry Foods then the Gilroy Canning Company for 24 years. She met the love of her life Joe Perez in Gilroy at the age of 28. Joe Perez Passed at the age of 42 in May 1979.

Carmen was blessed with a large and loving family and is survived by her children, Joe Perez, Anna Vasquez, Carmen Vasquez, and Luis Vasquez. Her grandchildren, Joseph Perez, Michael Perez, Jasmine Perez, Amanda Vasquez, Henry Vasquez, Arianna Vasquez, Elias Vasquez, Aliyah Vasquez, and Zayden Vasquez. Her Great Grandchildren, Averie Vasquez, Aubrey Perez, Elena Perez, Lyla Perez, Rose Gonzales, and Alaia Perez.

Carmen is dearly missed by her loved ones, who celebrate the fact that she is at peace with her creator and is preceded in death by her siblings and her parents.

Carmen will be laid to rest at the Gavilan Hills Memorial Cemetery, the Crypt Entombment will take place at Mason's Mausoleum. Father John of Saint Mary's Parish Church will officiate. The family will gratefully accept prayers, condolences, and memories.

Carmen, you will live on in our hearts forever. We will cherish those memories and celebrate your life and spirit in our everyday lives. You were a very special, beautiful, kind, and loving woman. Your legacy will always live on. Rest in Peace to our precious Angel.
