Carmen Olivares, who loved to be called "Mama" by her loved ones, departed her loving family and friends on August 5th, 2023, peacefully in her sleep to join her parents and her sisters in heaven.

Carmen is survived by her beloved husband, Argelio Olivares of 60 years, her children Maria (Mario Cantu), Adrianna (Tom Dean), Argelio (Kelli Olivares), Rosa Olivares, Norma (Jon Castro), Dina (Jeremy Orosco), her grandchildren Mario Alberto Cantu (Margo), Marcos Alejandro Cantu, Evelyn Cantu, Lauren Dean, Nicholas Olivares, Ashley (David Carrillo), Ariana (Adolfo Rodriguez), Alyssa Olivares, Jonathan Castro, Savanah Castro, Erin Castro, Jeremy Jr. Orosco, Dolores Orosco, Alicia Orosco, and her great grandchildren Alayna Carrillo, Adeline Rodriguez, Layla Rodriguez, and Liam Rodriguez.

Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, August 11, at St. Mary's Catholic Church at 2pm.
