Passed away at 72 years of age on July 29, 2011. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Sarah (Sheri) Benson, his daughter Kathryn Benson and his son David Calvin Benson. Cal enjoyed taking care of the wildlife around his Jackson Oaks home and listening to country music and 50s rock and roll. He liked to think about something until finding the best solution. He will be remembered as an innovative problem solver who could fix just about anything. He was respected for his practical common sense and sound advice. Cal retired from General Electric after 34 years of employment. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.


Visitation will be held Friday, August 5 from 12:00 to 2:00 P.M. at the Habing Family Funeral Home, 129 4th Street, Gilroy followed by a Funeral at 2:00 P.M.

Interment to follow at Mount Hope Memorial Park, 250 Spring Avenue, Morgan Hill.
