Memorial services will be held at VFW on 6th Street in Gilroy, CA at 11:00am, Saturday, January 24, 2015.
Born and raised in Watsonville, California, where His father had an artichoke farm, Bruno was the youngest of 3 children. His family moved to San Martin, CA. where Bruno attended Live Oak High School. He played the trumpet for the Live Oak High School School Band. He graduated in 1954. He enlisted in the Navy Reserves from Oct. 1, 1954 – Oct. 6, 1962. He worked for Bank of America for a short time and then was hired by PG&E and retired from them after 40 years of service.
Bruno is survived by his children Suzie Vasquez (Bobby), Randy Guerriero, Rosan First (John) and Jody Guerriero (Kelly). He had 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was a SF 49ers and SF Giants fan. One of his passions was bowling. He was Gilroy Mens Bowling Association Secretary for many years. He would bowl in local and state tournaments. He also enjoyed playing softball with family and friends in the city softball league. He loved playing Santa for family Christmas parties, or for anybody who needed a Santa.
He was preceded in death by his parents Giuseppe and Angelina Guerriero; sister Nina Amelio, and his brother Baldo Guerriero.
