Birgitte (Rasmussen) Smith, age 57, passed away after a long fought battle against breast cancer on November 27, 2016 in San Jose, CA.  She was born on July 15, 1959 in Vancouver, Canada to Birthe and Ole Rasmussen of Danish ancestry.  She was the oldest of four children: sister Lone and brothers Steve and Paul.  She graduated from Campbell High School in 1977 and continued towards her teaching credential where she inspired countless students and their families during her 27 years of teaching in the classroom.

She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Kevin, Sr., and her two children, Kevin, Jr. and Kirsten.

Her celebration of life will be held at 1:00 P.M. at the Three Flames Banquet Hall at 1547 Meridian, San Jose, CA 95125.  All are welcome to attend and celebrate Birgitte's life.  The family would like to thank everyone for their support during this tragic time.
