Belen "Billie" Hernandez, age 86, passed away on September 30th, 2021. She was born on May 15th 1935, in Artesia New Mexico to Pedro and Maria Yrigollen. She's the baby of 11 siblings, with 7 brothers and 3 sisters.

She lived in Carlsbad, New Mexico before moving to Gilroy, CA in 1957 with her family. In 1991, she retired to the Sequoia mountains with her husband. She enjoyed watching sports and spending time with her closest friends and family. She spent her days taking care of her family while enjoying the country and outdoors. Those who knew her knew she was the life of the party and a true fashionista. Billie will be remembered for her big heart and love for the church.

She is survived by her husband Felipe Santana Hernandez; her 4 children, Mary Helen, Phil Jr., Anthony and Patty; Her grandchildren Crystal, Stephanie, Lisa, Andrew, Felipe, Melissa, James, Eric, Angel, Alliah and Gracie; Her great grandchildren Angel, Alaina, Sunshine, Eden and Skylar.

A viewing will start on Friday, October 8th at 5:30pm with a service at 7:00pm at Habing Family Funeral Home in Gilroy, CA. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 9th at Grace Hill Church in Morgan Hill from 10-11am (formerly known as Morgan Hill Presbyterian Church). Immediately after the funeral services, the burial will be held at Mount Hope Memorial Park, Morgan Hill. Floral arrangements can be sent to Habing Family Funeral Home.
