Avelina Juarez beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away at the age of 83 on January 28, 2015.
Avelina was born in Mexico and lived in Gilroy for 31 years. She was a devout Catholic at St. Mary's Church and was always active in prayer and bible groups. She was a childcare provider for over 15 years, who tended to all kids as she tended to her beautiful garden.
She is survived by her husband Santiago, 10 Children: Ramon, Elia, Everardo, Emigdio, Maria, Lilia, Rocio, Patricia, Francisco, Leticia; 25 grandchildren (Patricia, Delia, Sergio, Yolanda, Hugo, Eduardo, Victor, Jessica, Mitchel, Salvador, Montserrat, Franz, Tyler, Cristian, Lilia, Isabel, Alexander, Jordan, Jayda, Alejandro, Remy, Dayanara, Santiago, Sebastian, and Oziel) and six great-grandchildren (Jovanna, Albert, Anthony, Natalie, Anyssa, and Gavin).
Avelina is now at peace in God's care. She was loved by many, and she will be missed by all who knew her. She will be remembered for her sweet loving heart. She loved us all deeply and unconditionally. She took care of everyone, worried for everybody, and the depths of her love knew no bounds. Her prayers will continue to protect us and she is now caring for us from heaven.
Visitation will be Sunday, Feb. 1, 2015 at 3:00 P.M. at Habing Family Funeral Home followed by Vigil Service at 5:00 P.M. Funeral Mass will be Monday, Feb. 2, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Mary's Catholic Church followed by burial at Gavilan Hills Memorial Park.
