Ava Lopez, 31, passed away unexpectedly on May 13, 2025. She was the beloved second child of Jaime and Martha Lopez.

Raised in Gilroy, Ava graduated from Gilroy High School and developed a passion for technology early in life. A self-taught computer enthusiast, she proudly built two personal PCs. Though she held positions at eBay and Amazon Lab, she ultimately sought a more meaningful path.

After relocating to Nevada, Ava attended the College of Southern Nevada, where her natural compassion and dedication to helping others led her to pursue a career as an Emergency Medical Technician in Las Vegas. She found her calling in emergency medicine and worked tirelessly toward her goal of becoming a paramedic. Her kindness, warmth, and deep care for others touched everyone she encountered. Her family is incredibly proud of the woman she became.

Ava is survived by her loving parents, Jaime and Martha Lopez; her brother, Frankie Lopez; her maternal grandmother, Carmen Dominguez; and many cherished aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Eleuterio Dominguez, and her paternal grandparents, Jose and Rita Lopez.

A private funeral service will be held at a later date.
