Arthur J. Goncalves, age 85, passed away peacefully in Santa Clara, CA on March 18, 2016. Arthur was the beloved son of the late Arthur & Maria (Neto) Goncalves; He is the loving brother of Beatrice M. Costa; cherished uncle (TiTu) of Susie Romano, Eddie Costa & Mary Harp; dear great uncle of Nanette, Janine, Jason, Jessica, Lauren, Cassandra & Eddie; great-great uncle of Sabrina, Alexandria, Miranda, Susie, Jared, Aurora, Dakota, Gunnar, Lilly, Lucas & Lehua; and dear cousin of Norma Ravizza and Fatima Lopes. Also survived by his very cherished friend Cecilia Cavacas. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends in San Diego, Oceanside and Capitola.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 29, 2016, from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Carmelite Monastery, 1000 Lincoln St., Santa Clara, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow at Santa Clara Mission Cemetery. Family and Friends are all invited to attend his services. Donations to Leukemia Society, Alzheimer's Activity Center or Carmelite Monastery are preferred and appreciated.
