Arnoldo Torres Narvaez passed away on September 19, 2019. He was born on October 10, 1935 in Allende, Coahuila, Mexico.  His parents were Eduardo and Dolores Narvaez. He met and married his wife Maria Lopez in Donna, Texas in 1956.

He moved his family to Morgan hill, California right after they married in 1956 and worked as a welder at first. He then purchased land on Kern Ave in Gilroy, built a home and raised his family. The family has lived in Gilroy for the last 55 years. He was a farmer, planting cucumbers, tomatoes, chilis and strawberries.

He was preceded in death by his father Eduardo, his mother, Dolores and his brother Rogelio. He is survived by his wife of 63 years Maria and his five children, Blanca Narvaez Solis, Sylvia Narvaez, Janie Perales (Rudy, Jr.), Armando Narvaez (Claudia) and Miguel Angel Narvaez and five grandchildren, Adrian, Christian, Armand, Elisa and Jackie.

Viewing will be held on Sunday, September 29 from 2 pm to 9 pm, service at 7 pm at Habing Family Funeral Home in Gilroy.

There will be a short ceremony on Monday, September 30 at 10am at Habing Family Funeral Home, burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery on 1st Street in Gilroy.
