Ariele, 34, Gilroy, passed away suddenly on June 5, 2018. She is survived by the love of her life, Christopher Gutierrez; Her mother, Julie Barberi (Robert); Father, Jeff Palm (Carla); Sisters, Justine Palm and Melissa Palm (Gunnar); Grandparents, Walt and Glenda Combs and Great Grandfather, Wes Pinegar. Also, survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father; Steven Combs and her grandparents; Joe and Anna Barberi.
Ariele was born and raised in Gilroy. She attended St. Mary's Catholic School and Notre Dame High School, in Salinas. She then went on to the University of Arizona, where she was a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority and obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Political Science. Ariele was the 2008 Garlic Festival Queen and continued volunteering for the Garlic Festival, where she served on the board. She enjoyed her volunteer work. She loved to travel, going to various places such as; Japan, Portugal, Europe and Iceland.
Family was very important to Ariele. She loved spending as much time as possible with them. Her love of family also extended to Chris's family, whom she instantly connected with. She was a giving, selfless and loving person to be around. Everyone who knew her, loved her.
She will be deeply missed.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in her honor to the Gilroy Garlic Festival.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 2:00 PM at St. Mary's Church, Gilroy.
