Tony was born in Puunene on the Island of Maui,HI and grew up on Oahu, graduating from Roosevelt High School in 1954. Upon graduation he served in the U.S. Marine Corp Reserve, later moving to California to attend San Jose City College and San Jose State.

Tony married his college sweetheart, Rose, and began a long and distinguished career in law enforcement, serving the community for 11 years first with the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety and another 26 years with the San Jose Police Department. In addition to police work, Tony was a natural artist. He particularly excelled at photography, creating beautiful photographic art, and he sustained a second career as a wedding and portrait photographer.

Tony passed away on the afternoon of Sunday, Nov. 18 with family at his side. He is survived by Rose, his sons James (Lisa) and Thomas, and his grandchildren Daniel and Kyle, and Travis and Clorrissa.
No service is planned at Tony's request. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society.
