Annemarie Bertha Lochner Tognola, 91, of Gilroy, passed away on December 25, 2022, after a brief battle with cancer.  She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 69 years, Roy Tognola.

Annemarie was born in Santa Cruz on September 25, 1931, to Fred and Annemarie Lochner, and moved to Gilroy at the age of 2.  She graduated from Gilroy High School in 1949 and married Roy on May 21, 1950.  Annemarie was a bookkeeper and held a variety of positions throughout her career including American Trust Co., Borden Milk Co., and Kazanjian, Smith & Co.

Roy and Annemarie enjoyed music, creative art projects, and their many pets.  As a young girl, Annemarie played the accordion and later in life played the organ.  In addition, Roy and Annemarie collaborated on craft projects where Roy would make woodworking figures and Annemarie would paint them.  She also loved her many pets - their dogs, cats, and her pet Turtle, Pokey.  Roy and Annemarie also loved quick trips to Chukchansi Resort and Casino with friends for a bit of gambling and a nice meal.

We thank Home Instead for the years of assistance they provided to both Roy and Annemarie. A big thank you to the many neighbors that were always there for her.  Annemarie leaves behind many dear friends and neighbors.  She will be greatly missed.

Services for Annamarie were private, based on her wishes.
