Andrew (Andy) Daniel Blea, 96, of San Martin CA, passed away on August 31, 2024, surrounded by his daughters Paula, Diana (Dee Dee) and Mary and their spouses Manuel, Mitch and Antonio.   Andy was born on November 10, 1927 to Martin and Anita Blea in Tucumcari, New Mexico. He was proceeded in death by his wife of 70 years, Pearl Blea.  He is survived by his daughters and their husbands.  His legacy continues through his grandchildren:  Manny & Charlene, Martin & Daisy, Daniel & Katy, Allegra & Jose, Christina & Chris, Angela & Sam, and Andrew & Tabitha; as well as his great-grandchildren: Morgan, Charlie, Thomas, Caroline, Bella, Mateo, James, Ava, Evelyn, Michael, Alanna, Joshua, Aurora, Serenity and Lily Pearl.

Prior to his marriage to Pearl, Andy joined the Navy and had the opportunity to visit many parts of the world.  Andy and Pearl lived originally in San Francisco but moved to Santa Clara, and then to San Martin in 1978 when Andy, a carpenter, built his dream home.  He was a devout Catholic and participated in many church activities throughout the years.  One of Andy and Pearl's greatest joys was travelling, especially going on cruises.  They went on over 35 cruises with friends and family.  Andy loved to read, cook and always enjoyed his evening cocktail (martini).  He passionately loved his family and his country and he always had a twinkle in his eye.  Andy is now reunited in heaven with his wife, parents and siblings (Cleo, Celia, and Joe).

Monday, September 23 there will be a Memorial Mass at 9:30 am at Saint Mary's Church, Gilroy.
