It is with great sadness that we share the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, Alice E. Medina, who gained her wings on October 15, 2025. Her children were beside her, walking her to the gates of Heaven.

Alice was born to Benjamin Medina and Maria Isabel Segovia. The youngest of five children, she cherished her big family—her greatest joy in life.

She leaves behind her beautiful daughters Helen Rivera and Jennie (Edward Sr.) Garcia, and her devoted son Julian Lara, along with 20 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren who all adored her deeply.

Alice began her career as a beautician in the late 1960s, forming lifelong friendships with many of her clients. She was known for her enormous heart and compassionate spirit, always dedicating herself to helping others.

Her kindness and nurturing presence touched many and will be greatly missed. Her legacy of love will continue to bloom in the hearts of her family and friends.

Alice is preceded in death by her nieces and nephews; siblings: Jose Pepe (Maria) Medina, Margarita (Rufino Sr.) Suarez, and Jose (Josie) Villa, Maria Esperanza Alonzo; and her children: Vera Becerra (Jack) and John M. Perez.

A memorial service for Alice will be held on November 3, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Mary's Catholic Church, followed by a celebration of her life at 1:00 p.m. at the Veterans Hall. We welcome all who loved Alice to join us in honoring her bright, beautiful, and unforgettable spirit.
