On Sunday, September 20th, 2020, Alfredo "Fred" Medina passed away at the age of 70. Fred was born on January 12th, 1950 in Rodeo, Durango Mexico to Jose and Maria Medina. Fred was a barber in Gilroy and cut hair for over 50 years. He enjoyed his trade and touched the lives of the many customers he had over the years. When Fred wasn't working you could find him fishing, camping, or during football season, watching his favorite team the San Francisco 49ers. Though he was an avid San Francisco 49ers and Giants fan, the thing that was the most dearest to him was his family. Fred has been preceded in death by his father Jose Medina, mother, Maria Medina, brothers, Jojo and Roger Medina.

He is survived by his daughter Brenda Medina, son, Stefan (Elena) Medina, grandsons, Andre Cornell, Stefan Medina Jr., and granddaughter Adriana Medina, and five great grandchildren.

His siblings; Gloria (Tomas) Bustamante, Isabel (Frank) Yepiz, Stella (Jose) Hernandez, Mary Martinez, Rachel (Louie) Garcia, Oscar Medina and many nieces and nephews. His final days were spent surrounded by his loving family.
