Obituary
Alfred F. Corona Resident of San Jose.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Alfred Corona after a short illness. Born to Ramon and Nieves Corona (deceased) on Sep.15, 1941. He is survived by his brothers and sisters. Jack Corona (Avalon), Manuel Corona, Ernest Corona, Ruth Martinez, Ofelia Artana (Bob), Arthur Corona, Gloria Ballard (Hal Shumway), Norma Quackenbush (Pete), Alice Jimenez (Randall) and Chuck Corona. Toby Corona (Helen), and Beatrice Corona, deceased. He also leaves numerous nephews and nieces. He was a wonderful friend to many and will be forever in our hearts.
Alfred graduated from Gilroy High in 1960. After his retirement from the family grocery business, he enjoyed restoring classic Cadillacs. He loved country music and was an avid 49er fan.
Visitation will begin on Monday, June 20, 2011 at 9:00 AM at Habing Family Funeral Home.
Then to St. Mary's Church, 11 First Street for Mass at 10:00 AM.
Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, 900 First Street, Gilroy.
