Alexandria Darice "Alex" Somera, née Calimpong, passed away on April 23, 2025, in San Jose, California, at the age of 53. Her passing leaves a deep void in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Born on May 11, 1971, in Okinawa, Alexandria was the beloved daughter of Arthur Calimpong and Henri Clevenger. Throughout her life, she remained closely connected to her family roots while building a vibrant life filled with love and devotion.

Alexandria is lovingly remembered by her husband, Ernesto Somera. Together they built a family that was the center of Alexandria's world. She was a devoted mother to Christa Greer (Joe), Kayla Kropp, Christopher Somera (Nicole), and Cameron Somera (Sammy). Her joy multiplied with the arrival of her grandchildren Clara Greer and Luca Greer, whom she adored and delighted in spoiling every chance she had.

She is also survived by her sisters: Staci Chunglo (Dean), twin Alyssa Hubbard (Michael), Aimee Calimpong (Troy), and Carrie Pural (Will). Her extended family brought her great happiness and were often recipients of her generous spirit.

Alexandria had a special gift for bringing people together. She was always willing to help family and friends, offering support with warmth and sincerity. Whether it was lending a hand or simply being present during important moments, she made others feel seen and cared for.

Her love for music was another defining part of who she was—especially when it came to listening to Prince and TLC. These artists provided the soundtrack to many cherished memories shared with loved ones.

A memorial gathering to honor Alexandria's life will be held at 10:00 M on May 17, 2025, at Habing Family Funeral Home, located at 129 Fourth St., Gilroy, California 95020. There will be a small gathering following the memorial starting at 1:00 PM at Gilroy Veterans Memorial Building 74 W 6th St, Gilroy, CA 95020, to remember Alexandria.
