Albert, affectionately known as "Big Al,"  passed away suddenly on October 6, 2023, at the age of 85.  He is survived by his wife Rosemarie Vogel, daughter Kathy Rogers (Bryan) and his grandchildren, Randi, Morgan & Cameron Rogers and Samantha Vogel. He is also survived by four of his eight siblings, Edward Vogel, Julia Gimenez, Ida Knowles and Elizabeth Cheadle, along with many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his beloved son, David Vogel, his parents William F. and Ida A. Vogel and three siblings, William, Werner and Joseph Vogel.

Born in El Centro, CA Albert moved to Gilroy, CA where he established deep roots and married the love of his life, Rosemarie Bovich in 1965, with whom he shared a devoted partnership. They built their life together and raised their two children.   He was a devoted and loving father and a present and loving grandfather. His grandchildren gave him such immense joy.

Albert was a proud Army Veteran and then dedicated his career to the Contel Telephone Company, in Gilroy. He was known for his commitment to the job and his strong work ethic. Outside of work, he was an avid sports enthusiast, enjoyed  hunting, bowling, gardening, and watching the Nascar races.

He was deeply valued for his pride in his family and his loyalty to his friends and neighbors.  His handlebar mustache and larger-than-life presence were his trademarks.  He was always ready to lend a helping hand, all you had to do was ask him and he was there.  He loved sharing  a  story  from his past.

Albert's legacy Is one of warmth, generosity, and unwavering love for those around him. His family, along with countless friends and neighbors will miss his vibrant spirit and cherished companionship.

Albert Arthur Vogel will be remembered fondly and dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
