Obituary

After over a 20 year long battle with breast and bone cancer, Pina's journey came to an end on January 5, 2023, she was surrounded by her loved ones and went in peace.

Pina was born on February 17, 1949 to Andres and Julia Gonzalez in Galveston, TX. During her childhood she moved to San Francisco, CA and the family later settled in San Jose, CA. She attended Lee Matson Middle School, James Lick High School and Cosmetology school. She worked as a hairdresser and then worked in a wig shop at Eastridge Mall. She later worked as a secretary at Most Holy Trinity School, and then moved to Diocese of San Jose and later retired from the City of San Jose.

Pina is survived by her husband of 52 years Ralph J. Villarreal, her children Theresa and her husband Nathan, Victor and his wife Marisela, and Sara and her husband Ronald; as well as, her grandchildren Bentio, Sciana, Iliana, Estrella, Evan, and Gabriela. She is also survived by her siblings Lydia Lopez, Manuel Gonzalez, Thomas Gonzalez, Jesse Gonzalez, and preceded in death by her brother Andres Gonzalez Jr. She is also survived by many sisters-/brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Pina was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister, who loved to cook, sing, dance and travel. She always showed her family unconditional love.
