Agnes passed peacefully on May 20, 2014. Daughter of the late Frank and Agnes Enos. Preceded in death by husband Thomas Moniz, son Thomas Moniz, (Bea) brothers Frank and George Enos (Doris). Beloved mother to daughter Toni Gabbani (Rick), sons Randy and Ted. Grandmother to 7, Great Grandmother to 5.

Agnes worked at the National Dollar store in downtown San Jose prior to and early in her marriage to Tommy. After the passing of her husband in 1974, she surprised her family by getting her driver's license for the first time. She went to work at the Eastridge Woolworths and retired from there.

She loved to work in her garden and travel. She took many vacation trips with Thom, Bea and "the boys." She enjoyed bus trips to various Indian casinos throughout California with her sister Gloria. Most holidays were spent at the Moniz home. Xmas eve was a favorite as many gifts were exchanged and a late night snack of linquica sandwiches was served. Agnes was also known for her amazing apple pies and chocolate chip cookies.

Agnes took pride in her yard. She had numerous plants, a cactus hill and decorative signs and figurines throughout the yard. She had fun counting the number of avocados produced each year by the massive tree in the middle of the back yard. During at least one year, the tree yielded over 1,000 avocados.

Visitation will begin at 9:30am with Catholic mass to follow at 10:30am Wednesday, May 28th, 2014 at Queen of Apostles Church, 4911 Moorpark Avenue, San Jose, CA. Interment will follow at 12:00pm at Los Gatos Memorial Park, 2255 Los Gatos Almaden Road, San Jose, CA.
